I think this is simply the best Dub Reggae album I've ever heard! (yet) It's got fantastic Bass-lines, shimmering tape echoes, going off to infinity, and wonderful sound quality. I have heard other compilations of Dub, but this one has a flow to it, that just works 5/5(3).

Started to experiment on the drums. To see if we could make the drum dance by itself'' Sly Dunbar This king size dub album is a lion of a record roaring with dub plates, rarities and obscure gems. Dominated by the drums of Sly Dunbar it represents a golden period when Channel One held the key to much of what was to follow in reggae music.

well worth it only 9 killer dubs, that are by the way available on Trojan Dub Rarities box set, but these on this album are similar versions but much better. more lively heavier bass and more outstanding in general, from the immortal and much unsung heroes in dub and reggae, the revolutionaries where sly & robbie came from, but because of those two, people forget about the revloutionaries /5(2).

Peter Marshall & The Revolutionaries: Channel One Revisited C9 - assorted 90s Showcase styled album based on Channel One rhythms, dubbed in by Martin Campbell at Channel One UK.
  • Tojalkis says:
Somewhat confusingly, in Channel One released two albums entitled "Channel One Revisited": a set of original dubs recorded by the Revolutionaries in the legendary Jamaican studio between and 78, and another made up of new vocal treatments of the very same tracks by Peter Marshall.
